TEMECULA, CA — A Riverside County sheriff’s deputy was involved in a crash late Thursday afternoon on state Route 79 South in Temecula, according to authorities.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at 4:51 p.m. on SR-79 South and Pacific Sunset Drive, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department’s Maggie Cline De La Rosa stated that the deputy self-extricated from the wreckage and was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported, De La Rosa added.
The CHP is currently investigating the incident, and there is no information yet on what caused the crash.
