Six people were hospitalized after a vehicle collision near Desert Center, Riverside County, on Sunday morning, June 9, 2024.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the accident occurred around 11:11 a.m. along Interstate 10, east of Riverside.

Although details surrounding the crash are still unclear, reports indicate that one vehicle had overturned in the center divide. The severity of the situation prompted the dispatch of three air ambulances and two ground ambulances to the scene.

Authorities reported that four juveniles and two adults were injured in the accident. One adult and one juvenile were airlifted to medical facilities, while the other adult and three juveniles were transported via ground ambulance. The identities and current conditions of those involved have not been released.

Westbound lanes on I-10 were temporarily closed to allow for the safe landing of the air ambulances. The lanes were reopened after the debris was cleared.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

 

 

A deadly crash involving a pedestrian has prompted the closure of all westbound lanes on the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on the freeway near Perris Boulevard, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the victim in the road, who was pronounced dead on-site. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Moreno Valley on Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2024.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the accident occurred around 4:55 p.m. at the intersection of Fir Avenue and Morrison Street, just south of the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway.

Firefighters reported that the occupants of one vehicle were trapped and had to be extricated using heavy equipment. The exact number of individuals rescued from that vehicle is still unknown.

A total of four people sustained moderate injuries in the crash. All were transported to Riverside University Medical Center for medical treatment.

Details on how the accident occurred are not yet available. Authorities are continuing to gather information to determine the possible causes.

A tragic accident at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park on Sunday, June 2, resulted in the death of a 9-year-old girl, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Brooke Carlton of Vista passed away at Inland Valley Medical Center at 11:24 a.m., as confirmed by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. when Brooke was riding an electric motorbike and collided with another juvenile also on a motorbike. Bystanders performed CPR on Brooke before she was transported to the hospital. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries. The other juvenile involved sustained minor injuries.

The Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the collision.

 

 

 

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Perris on Friday evening, May 31, 2024.

According to the Perris Sheriff’s Station, the incident occurred around 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of N. Perris Boulevard and Avocado Avenue.

Authorities reported finding an unresponsive pedestrian at the scene. The victim had sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Initial investigations revealed that the pedestrian had stepped into the roadway and attempted to cross the boulevard when a vehicle traveling southbound struck them. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.

A tragic hit-and-run collision early Thursday morning, May 30, 2024, resulted in the death of a motorcyclist in Jurupa Valley.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. at the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Pacific Avenue.

The victim was traveling on Limonite Avenue when a vehicle struck him and his motorcycle, and he immediately fleeing the scene. The impact threw the rider onto the roadway, causing severe injuries.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to a regional trauma center, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving. The victim’s identity, including his name, age, and origin, has not been released.

A preliminary investigation led authorities to identify and detain the hit-and-run vehicle and its driver within Jurupa Valley. It is not immediately known if the suspect, whose name remains undisclosed, was arrested.

The involvement of alcohol, drugs, or speed in the incident remains unclear. No further details are available at this time.

Tragedy struck Menifee as one person lost their life in a pedestrian vs. vehicle hit-and-run crash on Wednesday night, May 29, 2024.

According to the Menifee Police Department, the fatal incident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. in the 28700 block of Bradley Road, near Yorba Linda Court.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was jogging along the east shoulder of northbound Bradley Road when a vehicle struck them from behind, fatally injuring them.

Shockingly, the driver fled the scene without stopping to assist or check on the victim. Witnesses promptly dialed 911 to report the tragic crash.

Initial investigations indicate that the suspect vehicle might be a 2021-2023 Hyundai Elantra.

Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a single-vehicle crash in Wildomar early Monday morning, May 27, 2024.

The California Highway Patrol reported the collision occurred around 12:36 a.m. on the southbound Temecula Valley (15) Freeway, just north of Bundy Canyon Road.

Officials revealed that the vehicle collided with a center divider and caught fire. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. A witness informed responding authorities that the vehicle was driving recklessly before the crash.

The cause of the accident remains unknown, and it’s uncertain if drugs or alcohol played a role. Details regarding the victims’ identities have not been disclosed yet.

A 4-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man lost their lives in a crash on a transition road to Interstate 10 in the Whitewater area near Palm Springs.

The accident occurred at 7:37 p.m. Sunday on the transition between Highway 62 and westbound I-10, as reported by the Riverside County Fire Department.

Identified by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, the victims were Gregory Lucas Martinez, 28, and Mason Lucas, 4, both residents of Cathedral City. Additionally, a woman and two children sustained moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The transition road was closed for investigation following the incident.

A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Riverside late Saturday night, according to authorities.

Riverside police responded to a call around 11:20 p.m. about an unresponsive person lying in the street at Kansas Avenue and Roberta Street.

Medical personnel tried to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity will be released once her family is notified.
