A collision involving three vehicles occurred Thursday morning on Margarita Road near Temecula Valley High School, resulting in traffic congestion, authorities report. One individual was transported to the hospital following the incident, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Deirdre Vickers.
As of 9:15 a.m., traffic flow toward the high school remained sluggish.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and medics from the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department promptly responded to the crash scene shortly after 8:30 a.m.
“Upon arrival, deputies found multiple vehicles with collision damage,” stated Vickers.
Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicles were traveling northbound on Margarita Road, situated between Rancho Vista and Pauba roads.
Although two individuals sustained injuries in the collision, Cal Fire confirmed that only one was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
“No arrests have been made, and the cause of the collision is still under investigation,” added Vickers.
