A collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on I-15 near Lake Elsinore on Monday morning, March 11, 2024, left two individuals injured.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the northbound lane of I-15.
Authorities reported that a rider traveling north in the #2 lane at approximately 100 miles per hour collided with the rear end of a BMW, resulting in the rider being ejected onto the roadway. Witnesses informed CHP that the rider was approaching at a high speed before the crash.
The driver of the BMW sustained minor injuries and complained of pain following the collision.
Emergency responders transported the motorcycle rider to Inland Valley Medical Center with severe injuries. The status of the BMW driver’s hospitalization remains unclear.
