A tragic incident claimed the life of a worker at a San Jacinto fabrication business on Monday, according to Sgt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The fatality occurred at a fabrication company located in the 200 block of Bissell Place. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed, pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency services were summoned to the scene just after 12:15 p.m., where Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department medics discovered that the patient had already succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by Cal Fire spokesperson Rob Roseen.
Following their arrival, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputies and the County Coroner’s Bureau initiated an investigation into the incident. Additionally, Cal/OSHA was engaged in assessing the circumstances surrounding the workplace fatality, Sgt. Vickers reported.
PE.com added that the victim was crushed by a race car he was working on at the time of the fatal injury.
