SAN JACINTO, CA — A devastating two-vehicle collision occurred on Monday morning along the Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto, resulting in the loss of two lives, as confirmed by authorities.
The fatal accident unfolded at 6:27 a.m. on the westbound lanes of the highway, positioned to the west of Warren Road.
The two victims tragically lost their lives at the crash site, while a third individual was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries, as reported by the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved an SUV and a pickup truck. Notably, one of the vehicles carried a pit bull as one of its occupants, though the resilient canine survived and was taken for veterinary evaluation.
In the aftermath of this fatal collision, the westbound lanes were temporarily closed to traffic.
