The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department revealed on Sunday the identity of a man who lost his life in a three-vehicle collision on state Route 60 near Rubidoux.
The incident occurred around 7:10 a.m. on Saturday on the eastbound side of the freeway, west of Rubidoux Boulevard, as reported by the Riverside County Fire Department.
Avelino Sandoval, a 60-year-old resident of Pico Rivera, was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, three other individuals sustained minor to moderate injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash.
