Hacienda Heights, CA – On December 28, 2024, at approximately 12:28 AM, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a distress call reporting that a pedestrian had landed on the windshield of a vehicle on the Hacienda Blvd on-ramp to the 60 East Bound.
When units arrived at the scene, they reported that the pedestrian had gone through the windshield and ended up in the front seat of the vehicle. Faulk Ambulance Company arrived first and provided immediate medical aid, performing CPR on the victim.
CHP and fire personnel declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene. Initial investigations suggest that the pedestrian was likely on the freeway, and the driver did not see the individual until it was too late.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding how the pedestrian accessed the freeway remain unclear. The CHP Santa Fe Springs office is leading the ongoing investigation.
