Houston, TX – On December 28, 2024, at approximately 2:43 AM, a collision involving a motorcycle and a Chevy Malibu occurred at 2002 Fry, resulting in one fatality and serious injuries.
According to preliminary reports, a motorcycle traveling northbound in the number one lane collided with a southbound Chevy Malibu, driven by a 30-year-old female. The Malibu was stopped in the northbound left-turn lane before making a turn in front of the motorcycle, causing the crash.
Both the male motorcycle rider and his female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital downtown with injuries, while the female passenger was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy Malibu showed signs of intoxication, leading to a DWI investigation. Authorities are also examining other potential factors, such as speed, to determine the cause of the collision.
Depending on the findings, charges against the Malibu driver may be upgraded to intoxication manslaughter.
