A late-night crash on I-805 North has resulted in one person being hospitalized and caused major traffic disruptions. The incident occurred when a stalled vehicle in the #2 lane with its lights off was struck by a semi-truck. The semi-truck driver was unable to see the car in time, and although the semi-truck driver was unharmed, the car driver sustained injuries, which remain unknown. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital and has been described as “lucky to be alive” due to the extensive damage to her vehicle. California Highway Patrol (CHP) issued a SIG Alert for #2, #3, and #4 lanes, which remained closed until 11 AM for cleanup following an oil spill caused by the collision. Authorities have advised drivers to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion.
