At around 4:00 a.m. on December 14, 2024, police were in pursuit of a black Lamborghini SUV that had been fleeing the Los Angeles area. The chase ended in a Tarzana neighborhood when the luxury vehicle crashed, causing a loud bang that woke nearby residents.
Several residents immediately rushed to the scene, where the Lamborghini had caught fire, and helped pull the driver from the burning vehicle. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) arrived shortly after and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The driver, whose condition is unknown, was transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
Residents who witnessed the dramatic scene spoke on camera about the crash and the chaos they encountered early in the morning. Video footage surfaced showing one of the residents helping police pull the driver from the fiery car.
Authorities recovered a firearm and a luxury Patek Philippe watch worth around $200,000 from the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation as police work to determine more details about the crash and the events leading up to it.
