In the early hours of November 30, Los Angeles firefighters swiftly responded to a transformer fire at 560 S San Julian Street in Downtown Los Angeles. Upon accessing the site, crews identified a burning high-voltage transformer within the yard.
To ensure public safety and avoid further damage, firefighters allowed the fire to burn off, a standard procedure for high-voltage electrical equipment. Measures were taken to defend the adjacent building by closing all windows to prevent smoke infiltration. Pedestrians in the vicinity were also cleared to a safe distance.
Thanks to the firefighters’ quick action, the fire remained contained, with no injuries reported. Authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure public safety.
