Plane Crash Near Fullerton Airport Leaves Two Injured

A single-engine plane crashed near the Fullerton Airport on Monday afternoon, leaving two individuals trapped and injured. The incident occurred shortly after 1:45 PM, prompting an immediate response from Fullerton police and fire officials.
Arriving at the scene, emergency crews found the aircraft, a 1969 Mooney M20F with tail number N9245V, upright but severely damaged after striking a tree and a fire hydrant. The crash left two occupants trapped inside the wreckage.
Firefighters worked quickly to extricate the individuals, successfully freeing them within 15 minutes. Both were transported to UCI Trauma Center for medical treatment. Their current conditions remain unknown.
Preliminary observations suggest the plane had just taken off but circled back in an attempt to land at the airport. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
