A late-night crash left a passenger seriously injured on Saturday, November 23, 2024, after a silver sedan collided with a building in the 4600 block of 39th Street. The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) responded to the scene at approximately 10:07 PM after reports of the accident.
Upon arrival, officers found that the vehicle had struck the structure, causing damage to both the building and a nearby water line. Firefighters spent around 20 minutes extricating a male passenger who was trapped inside the car. He was then transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries to his lower extremities.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver may have intentionally crashed into the building amid a domestic dispute. The SDPD is actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the department.
