Firefighters swiftly responded to a house fire on Junipero Street in Simi Valley, which escalated into a second alarm due to the severity of the blaze. Authorities, including the Ventura County Sheriff and Simi Valley Police Department, were called to the scene following reports of multiple explosions, raising suspicions about the property potentially being used as a drug house.
Upon arrival, responders found the two-story residence engulfed in heavy smoke and flames. A man living in a back room escaped the fire by jumping out of a window, sustaining a bloody arm. He was treated by paramedics on-site. Firefighters managed to control the blaze within 30 minutes.
