On the night of November 15, 2024, at approximately 11:49 p.m., National City Police Department (NCPD) officers responded to reports of gunfire at an abandoned house located at 1003 ‘N’ Avenue. The property, reportedly being used for a large party, became the scene of a tragic shooting incident.
Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple victims with gunshot wounds amidst a chaotic scene involving a large crowd of partygoers. Due to the number of injured individuals and initial reports suggesting the suspects were still present, mutual aid was requested. Officers from San Diego Police Department (SDPD), Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD), San Diego Sheriff’s Office (SDSO), and Harbor Police joined the NCPD to secure the area.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect or suspects had fled before police arrived. Four victims were transported to local hospitals with gunshot injuries. Tragically, despite emergency medical efforts, a fifth individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
