The Gardena Police Department is investigating a tragic single-vehicle accident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, November 2, 2024. The incident took place around 6:00 a.m. near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue.
Preliminary reports indicate that a car traveling eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue, shortly after passing Crenshaw Boulevard, lost control at an extremely high speed, resulting in a catastrophic crash. The impact was severe enough to split the vehicle in half, underscoring the force of the collision. Authorities confirmed that the driver, whose identity remains unknown, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and unfortunately did not survive the incident.
