In the early hours of October 19, 2024, at around 5:45 a.m., four masked suspects broke into a pharmacy located at 12650 Sherman Way in North Hollywood. According to the pharmacy owner, this marks the fourth time his establishment has been burglarized, with the criminals targeting narcotics.
The suspects used electrical saws to cut through the gate on a side door, gaining access to the building. Surveillance footage captured the group rummaging through the pharmacy in search of controlled substances. As of now, the owner is unsure of exactly what was taken.
Due to the repeated break-ins, the owner has had to stop stocking certain narcotic medications that these thieves frequently target. This decision, while necessary to protect his business, has negatively impacted many of his customers who depend on these prescriptions. The ongoing thefts are taking a toll on both the pharmacy’s operations and the community it serves.
Authorities are investigating the incident and are working to identify the suspects.
