On October 17, 2024, at approximately 8:45 PM, a Houston Police Department (HPD) officer reported over the radio that his patrol vehicle had been struck at the intersection of Reed and Coffee in Houston. The collision left three individuals injured, including one juvenile, who were occupants of the vehicle that struck the officer’s car. Fortunately, the officers involved in the crash appeared to be unharmed.
In response to the incident, all traffic along Reed Street has been temporarily shut down as the Vehicular Crimes Division (VCD) conducts a thorough investigation. Authorities urge drivers to avoid the area until further notice. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be provided as they become available.
