Los Angeles, CA — In the early hours of September 26, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a distress call reporting a burglary at SDV Liquor located on Foothill Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the front of the store had been significantly damaged. Surveillance footage revealed a black pickup truck backing into the establishment, allowing the suspects to crash through the front door and roll up the security gate. Once inside, the suspects quickly exited the vehicle and began to pilfer high-end alcoholic beverages from the shelves.
The store’s owner expressed his deep frustration and financial distress, noting that there was no insurance coverage for the stolen alcohol. As a result, he is facing substantial losses, not only for the stolen items but also for the extensive damage inflicted upon the building.
LAPD is currently investigating the incident and is urging anyone with information to come forward. The brazen nature of the crime has left the local community shaken, raising concerns about safety and security in the area.
