Phoenix, AZ – At approximately midnight on September 21, 2024, Phoenix police responded to reports of multiple gunshot wound victims being dropped off at the old Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Upon arrival, officers found four individuals who had sustained at least one gunshot wound each.
Among the victims were a juvenile male and female, as well as an adult male, all of whom were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. However, a teenage male victim was critically injured and later succumbed to his wounds, being pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The initial shooting scene has been identified near the intersection of 13th Street and Van Buren Street. In response to the incident, homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, and the area on Van Buren Street will remain closed for an extended period as authorities conduct a thorough scene investigation.
