Early in the morning on September 18, 2024, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle that overturned after striking multiple parked cars.
Upon arrival, LAPD officers discovered a vehicle on its roof, having collided with five parked cars before rolling into the front yard of a nearby home. Firefighters treated three individuals at the scene: two males and one female, all reported to be 17 years old or younger.
The first male sustained a broken arm, while the second male suffered unspecified injuries. The female passenger had a large laceration above her eye. Witnesses indicated that the vehicle was traveling east on Victory Blvd at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, hitting a tree before careening into the parked cars.
A neighbor who assisted the injured before emergency services arrived reported that the passengers appeared disoriented but responsive. All three were transported to local hospitals; their current conditions remain unknown.
The LAPD’s Vehicle Traffic Division (VTD) is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
This collision serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with reckless driving, particularly involving young passengers. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
