TUSTIN – An 18-year-old man has been taken into custody following a violent incident early Monday morning that left one man dead and a woman injured. The arrest came after police responded to reports of a stabbing and a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle outside the Arbor Ranch Apartments at 15482 Pasadena Ave.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple calls about a pedestrian collision. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims near the intersection of Nisson Road: a man with fatal stab wounds and a woman who had been hit by a vehicle. Both were rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana. Despite medical efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries, while the woman, who sustained significant injuries from the collision, is currently in stable condition.
The suspect, identified as Santa Ana resident Jan Daniel Lopez, was apprehended by Anaheim police around 2:15 a.m. on N. Kraemer Blvd. Lopez was arrested without incident and transported to the Tustin Police Department for questioning.
