Oceanside, CA – A pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by an eastbound Sprinter commuter train near the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and Vine Street on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at approximately 12:10 p.m.
First responders from the Oceanside Police Department and Vista Fire Department arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. They discovered a 40-year-old male with a broken femur lying near the train tracks. The injured man was promptly transported to Palomar Medical Center, where he is receiving treatment for his serious injuries.
