Jurupa Valley, August 9, 2024 — A frightening incident occurred last evening in Jurupa Valley, where a swarm of bees attacked two individuals and four horses at the intersection of 52nd Street and Beach Street. Firefighters swiftly responded to the scene at 7:37 p.m. to handle the dangerous situation.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found two people under assault by the aggressive bees. Both victims were immediately transported to a nearby hospital. One victim is in critical condition, while the other sustained moderate injuries.
The bee attack also impacted four horses in the area. Tragically, one horse did not survive the onslaught, and another remains in critical condition and is not expected to recover. The other two horses are alive but have suffered multiple bee stings.
To control the situation, firefighters employed foam to neutralize the hive, effectively ending the attack and preventing further harm.
