In a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred late Wednesday night, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The incident took place at approximately 11:46 pm at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Cherry Avenue.
According to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), the suspect vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene before officers arrived. Upon their arrival, LBPD officers found the motorcycle crashed into the front of a pharmacy, with the rider pronounced dead at the scene by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel.
The LBPD is actively searching for the suspect’s vehicle and is seeking any available surveillance footage or witnesses to aid in locating the individual responsible for this fatal hit-and-run. Homicide detectives from LBPD are currently on the scene, conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
