In the early hours of July 29, 2024, a dramatic confrontation unfolded in Beverlywood, resulting in the death of a suspect and multiple arrests following a reported burglary.
At approximately 3:15 a.m., LAPD SWAT officers were called to 2630 Halm Avenue after a homeowner, who had taken refuge at a neighbor’s house, reported a burglary in progress and a fire set inside their residence. Firefighters were on the scene, working to ventilate the home and control the blaze.
Upon arrival, LAPD SWAT officers encountered a tense situation outside the property. Three burglary suspects were handcuffed and detained next to their minivan, which was found to contain two bags of potentially stolen goods.
