In the early hours of July 27, Seattle police received multiple reports of shots fired in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood. The incident was first reported shortly before 12:25 AM. Upon arrival, emergency services discovered an individual who was unresponsive and without a pulse near the entrance to a parking garage.
Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers immediately began administering CPR until Seattle Fire Department (SFD) and medic units arrived. Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing up to two vehicles and three Black males in connection with the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, with SPD’s Gang Violence Response Unit (GVRU) handling the case. Detective Brian Pritchard is the point of contact for further information.
