Buena Park, CA – July 23, 2024 – Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Authority and Buena Park Police Department were dispatched early Monday morning to the 6000 block of Stanton Avenue following a severe traffic collision.
At approximately 12:05 a.m., authorities arrived at the scene to find a single vehicle involved in a chaotic crash. The vehicle had collided with several parked cars, a telephone box on the sidewalk, and ultimately crashed into a wrought-iron gate. The impact resulted in the driver being trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighters worked diligently to extricate the driver, who remained trapped for approximately 25 minutes before being successfully freed. The driver was subsequently transported to a local trauma center with injuries that have not yet been detailed.
Initial investigations suggest that speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, though the circumstances are still under review.
The Buena Park Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident to determine the exact cause of the collision.
