Late Thursday night, a Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper was involved in a collision on Mesquite Circle near College Avenue in Tempe. The incident occurred shortly after 10 PM.
According to DPS radio communications, two individuals were taken into custody following the crash. The collision involved the DPS Tahoe and a newer model Dodge Charger. The Dodge Charger was found with a fictitious license plate that read “Diller” instead of “Dealer.”
Two teenagers were observed in handcuffs at the scene, with minor injuries being assessed by Tempe Fire. At least one of the teenagers was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
A DPS Sergeant on the scene reported that Tempe Police are handling the investigation and charges against the suspects.
