Ontario Police Department and fire crews responded to a serious vehicle crash at the intersection of North Grove Avenue and East Sixth Street early on June 22. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a vehicle that had collided with a parked car. The fire department quickly upgraded the situation after finding a person trapped inside the crashed vehicle and potential other victims.
The incident involved an unknown number of patients, with three ambulances dispatched to the scene. The impact of the crash was so severe that the colliding vehicle damaged five parked cars, with two of them being lifted off the ground.
Grove Street will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time as authorities continue their investigation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with drugs, alcohol, or excessive speed being considered as possible factors. Ontario officials are currently waiting for the coroner to arrive at the scene.
