Late on the night of June 17th, 2024, authorities in Houston swiftly responded to a shooting incident reported at 4214 Tampico. Houston Police Department (HPD) and Houston Fire Department (HFD) arrived at the scene to find a male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. According to the victim, he had been robbed of his wallet by two males and one female before being shot.
Following the incident, a bystander stepped in to help, tracking the suspects on foot and guiding law enforcement officers to their whereabouts. HPD initiated a pursuit, but the suspects attempted to evade capture by fleeing on foot. After a tense chase, officers successfully apprehended both male suspects.
During the arrest, officers discovered one of the suspects in possession of a backpack containing two firearms. Further investigation revealed that both individuals were teenagers. However, the female suspect involved in the robbery and shooting remains at large.
