SAN DIEGO, CA — April 6, 2025 | Approx. 5:15 a.m. — A man is facing multiple felony charges after a dangerous early morning pursuit that began in City Heights and ended with the suspect ramming a police vehicle in San Diego’s Teralta East neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).The incident began when an SDPD officer spotted a male driver sitting idle in a left-turn lane at a green light on University Avenue. Suspicious of the unusual behavior, the officer approached the vehicle. Upon making contact, the driver suddenly fled, triggering a pursuit. The suspect led officers to the 3800 block of Edna Place, where he pulled into a parking stall at the Bridgeport Apartments.
