Anaheim, CA — April 3, 2025, | 9:18 p.m. — A major apartment fire broke out Thursday night at a complex located at 225 S. Western Avenue, prompting a 3rd alarm response and the evacuation of multiple senior residents, according to Anaheim Fire & Rescue. Fire crews and officers from the Anaheim Police Department responded just after 9:15 p.m. to reports of a fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of the building. Due to the severity of the fire and the structure’s occupancy by senior tenants, a third alarm was requested, bringing in additional firefighting resources. Firefighters conducted multiple rescues and evacuations, ensuring residents were brought to safety. At least one tenant was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. The condition of the other tenants has not been disclosed.
