Grand Terrace, CA – April 2, 2025 – 9:30 P.M. – A traffic stop related to a possible illegal dumping incident turned into a short pursuit Wednesday night in Grand Terrace, ultimately ending with the suspect forcibly detained by law enforcement.
At around 9:30 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle suspected to be involved in illegal dumping in the area. The driver failed to yield, leading to a brief pursuit through nearby streets. The chase concluded near the intersection of Pico Street and Michigan Street, where the suspect eventually came to a stop but refused to exit the vehicle or comply with deputies’ commands. Deputies approached the vehicle and forcibly removed the uncooperative suspect. The man continued to resist, prompting officers to restrain his hands and legs until additional units arrived and were able to escort him to a patrol car. San Bernardino County Fire Department and American Medical Response (AMR) were dispatched to the scene to evaluate the suspect, but he declined medical treatment.
