Houston, TX – April 2, 2025 – 10:30 a.m. – A massive coordinated law enforcement effort unfolded Wednesday morning as authorities raided an illegal gaming room at 3620 E Tidwell in northeast Houston.
The operation, spearheaded by the Houston Police Department, Harris County Precinct 1, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and other federal agencies, was part of a larger regional crackdown on illicit gambling. According to sources, over 30 locations across the greater Houston area were targeted simultaneously as part of the multi-agency sting.
One of the additional raid locations was 718 E Tidwell, just east of I-45, where multiple individuals were seen shackled and loaded into unmarked vans. While it has not been confirmed if those detained were directly tied to the gaming operation, the vans matched those previously used in ICE operations, suggesting federal immigration enforcement may have played a role in the arrests. It’s believed some detainees may be headed to the Conroe ICE facility for processing.
Authorities have not released an official list of charges or provided details on the number of individuals detained. The investigation remains active, and further updates are expected as the operation unfolds.
