San Mateo, CA – On February 5, 2025, at approximately 9:02 p.m., police, fire, and EMS units responded to reports of a subject lying in the bike lane at the intersection of Fashion Island Boulevard and South Norfolk Street. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with no pulse and visible head trauma. Officers immediately began CPR, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
