A fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in South Los Angeles, leaving one person dead after being struck by a white SUV. The victim was found on the ground near a gas pump, which appeared to have been in use at the time of the incident. A damaged grey sedan was also present at the scene, along with a gas pump lying on the ground.
The suspect’s vehicle, showing damage to the front bumper and windshield, was located across the street from the scene. The suspect, a woman, fled the scene on foot but was later possibly returned by a group of individuals referred to by police as “Bandit” tow truck drivers.
LAPD South Traffic officers have arrested the suspect and are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. Further details regarding where the victim was struck remain unclear.
