On the evening of November 3, 2024, an incident occurred at Perris Hill Park that left a victim in critical condition following an alleged pit bull attack. Around 10 p.m., first responders received reports of an animal attack with CPR actively being administered to the injured individual upon their arrival at the scene.
The incident unfolded in the northwest corner of the park, near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Valencia, specifically within the playground area. When emergency personnel arrived, they found the site cordoned off with caution tape. Law enforcement officials were tight-lipped about specific details, only confirming the dispatch call as an “animal bite” incident. However, witnesses at the scene noted that scattered items were visible beneath and around the playground, painting a chaotic scene.
The victim was transported from the scene with life-saving efforts ongoing, but their current condition remains unknown. Forensic investigators were observed meticulously examining the area, gathering evidence for a deeper investigation. Authorities have yet to release additional information, and the circumstances surrounding the attack are still under scrutiny.
