A chaotic scene unfolded on the night of September 28th as San Bernardino Police Department responded to reports of a street takeover in a parking lot near the intersection of 2nd Street and G Street. The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 PM.
As officers worked to disperse the crowd involved in the takeover, a pickup truck was seen fleeing the scene. In a dramatic turn of events, the vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian as it sped away. Officers quickly initiated a pursuit of the fleeing truck.
The situation escalated when the driver lost control of the vehicle while making a right turn onto 2nd Street. The truck crashed into a nearby tree, bringing the pursuit to a halt.
Authorities apprehended three individuals at the scene. Two of those taken into custody were transported to a local hospital, though their injuries remain undisclosed at this time.
The incident highlights ongoing concerns about street takeovers and reckless driving in urban areas, prompting calls for increased safety measures and law enforcement intervention.
