On September 9, 2024, at 1:04 PM, the Line Fire surged through the San Bernardino National Forest with alarming intensity. The fire has now flanked Running Springs and is aggressively spreading northeast, threatening Keller Peak. On the opposite side of Highway 38, fire activity remains explosive, raising serious concerns for the nearby communities of Forest Falls and Angles Oaks. As of this morning, the fire has grown to 21,202 acres. Helicopters have been dipping into Lake Arrowhead for water, drawing crowds as they combat the blaze.
