In the early hours of August 27, a troubling incident unfolded on the southbound 110 Freeway near the MLK exit in South LA. Video footage captured a dramatic scene involving two individuals who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. The footage shows a female reportedly fleeing from a truck in the middle of the freeway while a male companion, who was driving, left the scene as emergency responders arrived.
According to reports, the pair had been traveling southbound when a heated argument led the driver to exit the freeway at MLK and stop on the off-ramp. The female exited the truck and ran back onto the freeway, trying to distance herself from the male driver, whom she claimed was under the influence. Initial reports suggested that the woman might have been struck by passing vehicles; however, there was no concrete evidence to support this claim, and if a vehicle was involved, it had already left the scene.
The freeway was subsequently closed to allow the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) to provide medical treatment and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to conduct an investigation. The male driver had fled the scene by the time emergency services arrived.
The CHP is currently investigating the incident, and anyone with information or who may have witnessed the events is encouraged to come forward. The investigation aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and hold those responsible accountable.
