Carson, CA – Tragedy struck late Saturday night as two individuals were fatally shot in Carson. The incident occurred at approximately 11:37 p.m. on August 24, 2024, near the intersection of 234th Street and Main Street.
Carson first responders were quickly dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire, where they discovered two victims, each suffering from gunshot wounds, positioned across the street from one another. Despite the efforts of firefighters to provide life-saving measures, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
The area surrounding the crime scene is currently filled with grieving family members as law enforcement officials continue their investigation. It remains unclear whether the shooting was a walk-up or drive-by attack. However, a vehicle with its lights on was found near one of the victims, which may provide crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
As a result of the incident, Carson Sheriff’s Department has shut down Main Street between 233rd and 236th Streets. Residents are advised to avoid the area as authorities work to gather more information and maintain public safety.
