Colton, CA – On August 6, 2025, at 2:52 p.m., fire crews responded to a vegetation fire near Riverside Avenue. First-arriving units reported the blaze at 2 to 3 acres in heavy fuels with a moderate rate of spread, and the potential to grow to 10 acres. Five additional engines were requested. The fire has since jumped the Santa Ana River, prompting a response from Riverside County crews to attack the flames from the south side of the river.
