West Adams, Los Angeles, August 3, 2024 – A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred early Saturday morning on the 10 East Freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard or Arlington Avenue in the West Adams area of Los Angeles. The incident, which took place at approximately 3:15 a.m., involved seven vehicles and resulted in several injuries, with one female suffering a broken leg.

The chaotic scene unfolded when two of the vehicles overturned—one landing on its side and the other completely upside down. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded quickly, closing all eastbound lanes of the freeway to manage the situation and ensure the safety of those involved.

Emergency medical teams treated several individuals at the scene. Reports indicate that three people received treatment on-site, while two others were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The most severe injury reported was a broken leg sustained by a female involved in the accident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a stalled vehicle may have caused the pile-up, although authorities are still working to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision. The freeway closure resulted in significant traffic delays as crews worked to clear the scene and reopen the lanes.
