Eastvale, CA – On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, a tragic traffic collision occurred in the 5300 block of Goodman Way in Eastvale, resulting in the death of a driver. The incident took place around 9:52 p.m. when deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into a building.
Upon arrival, deputies found the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle suffering from severe injuries. They immediately began administering medical aid until Riverside County Fire personnel arrived and took over the life-saving efforts. Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to the injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team was dispatched to the site to lead the investigation. Initial findings suggest that drugs may have been a contributing factor to the collision. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The incident necessitated the temporary closure of Goodman Way as authorities worked to process the scene and gather evidence. The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing.
