San Bernardino, 06-27-2025, A tragic traffic collision claimed the life of a motorcyclist on the evening of June 27, 2025, at the intersection of 5th Street and North Sierra Way in San Bernardino. Authorities confirmed that 40-year-old Michael Siganoff, a father of six, was pronounced dead at the scene. At approximately 8:28 PM, emergency personnel from San Bernardino PD, County Fire, and AMR responded to the crash. Upon arrival, first responders found Siganoff’s motorcycle severely damaged and a white sedan with collision damage. A young child, who had been riding unrestrained in the sedan, was ejected and transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. According to eyewitnesses, the white sedan ran a red light, colliding directly with Siganoff’s motorcycle. The impact was fatal. Following the crash, the driver of the white sedan, 42-year-old Paulo Cesar Mendez, was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. He has been booked on multiple felony charges, including driving under the influence of narcotics, vehicular manslaughter, and child abuse, due to the child being unrestrained at the time of the collision.
