Huntington Park, 06-27-2025, In the early morning hours of Friday, June 27, 2025, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducted a pre-dawn raid at a residence near California Avenue and Flower Street in Huntington Park, reportedly searching for a man they had previously encountered during an incident in the city of Bell. The man, who was seen driving a black Jeep Wrangler with children in the vehicle at the time, had previously been stopped by ICE near Atlantic Avenue and Bell Avenue. Though the agents initially detained him, he was released on the scene. According to sources, the man is a U.S. citizen, raising questions about the continued pursuit. On Friday, ICE agents reportedly used explosives to breach the front door of the Huntington Park home and shattered a bedroom window, where children had been sleeping. Despite the aggressive tactics, the individual ICE was targeting was not present at the home. The raid left the man’s wife visibly shaken, and she has since expressed fear for her family’s safety. The family is now looking for a new place to stay, concerned that agents may return. The woman called 911 for assistance, but was told by the Huntington Park Police Department (HPPD) that they could not intervene in a federal operation. Residents in the neighborhood have expressed fear and outrage, but were reportedly reluctant to speak publicly or on camera . Complicating matters, the ICE raid may be connected to a prior community clash in Bell, where residents allegedly damaged ICE vehicles in protest. Additionally, an image surfaced Friday morning showing an individual being detained by ICE at a car wash in Downey, believed to be associated with the ongoing pursuit.
