Driver Airlifted After Pickup Crashes Under Semi in Hesperia

Hesperia,[06-26-2025]  A serious collision involving a pickup truck and a semi-truck occurred Thursday night at the intersection of Hesperia Road and Lemon Street in Hesperia, leaving one driver critically injured. The incident happened at approximately 8:42 p.m., when emergency crews responded to reports of a traffic collision that required extrication. Upon arrival, San Bernardino County Fire personnel found that a pickup truck had become lodged underneath a semi-truck trailer, severely trapping the driver inside the vehicle. Firefighters worked for nearly an hour to carefully extricate the victim from the mangled wreckage. Once freed, the driver was transported by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital’s helipad, where they were then airlifted to a trauma center for advanced treatment. The extent of the driver’s injuries has not been released . Authorities have not confirmed what led to the crash, and Hesperia Police and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are conducting a full investigation into the cause of the collision.
