DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA – A man was killed early Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in what witnesses described as a violent escalation of an argument outside a downtown Los Angeles bar. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of 3rd Street and Hill Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Witnesses told investigators that a dispute broke out between several individuals at the nearby bar “Casitas”, and shortly afterward, the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro deliberately ran over the victim. The injured man was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.LAPD officers on patrol later located a vehicle matching the description — a Camaro with a damaged windshield — near 3rd Street and Los Angeles Street, not far from the original crime scene. A suspect was found inside the vehicle and taken into custody without further incident.LAPD Homicide Detectives are actively investigating the case and processing both scenes, including where the white Scion XB was found left running.
